info

On Nov. 21, volunteers from the Baker Donnellson Law Firm planted butterfly milkweed and ferns at the Turtle Point Nature Area and Botanical Gardens to help with Monarch butterfly rehabilitation and beautification efforts. They also sorted thousands of daffodils and tulips provided to residents and churches wanting to beautify their neighborhoods and reservoir area. These bulbs were made possible through a Lowe’s grant from Keep America Beautiful and Keep Mississippi Beautiful.

Special thanks also to Tree Source Farms, the Rankin County Master Gardeners, Angie Webb, Pearl River Kayaks, the Reservoir Garden Club, Pearl River Valley Water Supply District, Keep the Rez Volunteers and others who contributed to this event. A special thanks to Lowe’s for supporting the Keep America Beautiful network of affiliates.
