Keep the Rez Beautiful, along with other organizations in Keep America Beautiful’s national network of community-based affiliates, are planning volunteer events across America. Volunteers wanting to assist with the following activities are encouraged to report to Lakeshore Park, April 18, beginning at 8:30 a.m. to sign up for volunteer assignments. Volunteers will receive a KRB T Shirt for volunteering (first come, first serve), if they sign a Great American – Ross Barnett Reservoir – pledge card!
- Lakeshore Park, (PRVWSD Lakeshore Park, Northshore Parkway: planting ferns and flowers, cleaning up a Rain Garden and more.
- Turtle Point Nature Area, Spillway Rd., between Turtle Creek and Forest Point Subdivisions on Scenic Drive; planting fruit and nut trees.
- Take a walk around your neighborhood and pick up litter. All participants will be provided trash bags. Bags may be picked up at Lakeshore Park at 8:30 a.m.
- Help neighborhoods plant flowers and shrubs at entrances. (Flowers available, first come, first serve basis.)
