Limited copies of “Discover the Pearl” children’s book are now available.
A limited number of upper elementary children’s book “Discover the Pearl” are available through Keep the Reservoir Beautiful. Lynn Porter, KRB, board member worked for over two years on the book which highlights the history, the significance, water quality issues, wildlife and conservation of the Pearl River. As stated by Lynn “My goal is to inspire and educate upper elementary children on taking care of our waterways- the Pearl River and beyond.” The book can also serve as a curriculum in the classroom covering history, science, geography and also vocabulary words.
